Info-Tech Research Group recently published its AI Trends 2026 report, highlighting five trends they predict will reshape enterprise strategy in 2026. The report was informed by a survey of more than 700 IT professionals (over half of whom held director-level or higher positions) across industries, including manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas operations, government/public sector, transportation & logistics, financial services & insurance, and healthcare.
The survey results show a clear shift from AI pilots to enterprise-scale deployments, despite a widening gap between AI adoption and organizational readiness. While 58% of organizations reported embedding AI into enterprise-wide strategies (last year, only 26% of organizations were at this stage of AI adoption), only 19% said they have fully implemented AI governance frameworks.
The majority of respondents said that workforce readiness is one of the largest barriers to AI adoption, with 63% reporting skills gaps in multiple areas. However, only 28% have formal training programs. As financial commitments to AI continue to rise — 47% of respondents said they plan to increase AI budgets by 20% or more next year — leaders in all industries must ensure they have clear AI governance policies and that their teams are properly trained.
Head over to ISE to read the five AI trends shaping enterprise strategy in 2026.

Abby launched her first magazine, Abby’s Top 40, in 1988 and made everyone in her family read it. Since then, she has held editorial leadership roles at an alt weekly, a newspaper, a luxury lifestyle magazine, a business journal, a music magazine, and regional women’s magazines, developing a sharp writing edge and a conversational tone that resonates with professional audiences.
She expanded into marketing while leading communications for an entertainment industry nonprofit and later drove rebranding and audience-building efforts for an NPR music station. At EndeavorB2B, she has been instrumental in driving editorial excellence, developing scalable content strategies across multiple verticals, and building the foundation for EDGE, the company’s portfolio of executive newsletters.
